Anti-Smoking in Honduras

On Monday, a smoking ban took effect in Honduras which prohibits individuals to smoke in public places, but also allows and encourages individuals to report smokers who light up inside of their own homes! I know, it is ridiculous. I understand that some people don't want me to light up my cigar around them, but that is my own home! I believe these anti-smoking campaigns are getting a little out of hand. I know tobacco is not as healthy as tofu, but someone's home is their own home. The Honduran government has set up a warning for a first time offenders, but with a second time offense you will be fined the minimum monthly wage, which is $311, and you will be arrested. I find these laws becoming more and more aggressive, and I am fearful of the day where such a law comes to my town.
